What does a booking request mean?
After Portugalvillas has checked your booking request, you will receive an email confirming the date and the rental price. You will be given an option on the accommodation for a maximum of 24 hours to convert the reservation request into a final booking. The rental contract will then be sent to you by email.
Is my booking immediately final?
Your booking is only final after you have agreed to the rental agreement that you have received. After you agree, you will receive a rental contract. The payment conditions are stated in the rental contact. After the deposit is received, your booking is final.
What happens after I have booked?
You have not booked until the first deposit has been paid. You will receive a confirmation email of this deposit. The remaining amount must be paid 8 weeks before arrival, together with the deposit. After the second payment, you will receive a travel voucher containing all travel information such as the route description and the contact details of the host, your contact person during your stay.
Are there additional costs?
There are no hidden costs. Cleaning fees or additional services are always shown during the reservation request.
How is the payment made?
The payment procedure is stated in the rental contract. When booking, a deposit of 30% is required. The remaining amount must be paid 8 weeks before arrival, together with the deposit. The reservation is only final after the deposit of 30%. Payment is made by bank transfer. If you have more questions about this, please contact us.
If I have a complaint on site, what should I do?
You may contact the host of your accommodation directly. If it is urgent and you cannot reach them, we advise you to contact Portugalvillas.
How does Portugalvillas select the accommodations?
Portugalvillas selects the villas based on location, quality, ambiance, care and comfort.
Can more people than the maximum number be booked?
In principle, bookings are only allowed for the maximum number of people. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact us. If you receive more people than indicated when booking, you must inform Portugalvillas in writing. In most cases there is an additional charge. There may never be more people staying than for which the accommodation is suitable.
When will I receive the address and contact details of the holiday home?
This information can be found in the travel voucher, which you will receive by email 8 weeks before departure.
Are the accommodations child-friendly?
It depends on the accommodation whether it is suitable for children. We advise you to contact Portugalvillas if there are any questions about this.
Are pets welcome?
Pets are allowed in some accommodations. This is only possible in consultation with Portugalvillas. We advise you to contact us about this.
Are there any houses that are wheelchair accessible?
This depends on the accommodation. For advice you can contact Portugalvillas.
Can I cancel my booking?
In the event of cancellation of the rental agreement by the tenant(s), the following cancellation costs will be charged: a. in case of cancellation up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 50% of the rent. b. in case of cancellation from 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount. In case of cancellation, Portugalvillas can make a cancellation invoice for the travel insurance.

Can I check in and out at a different time?
In principle, this is not possible due to the cleaning of your stay. With an early flight, it is often possible to leave your luggage at the accommodation in advance. This can be done in consultation with the host. If the accommodation is not rented out before your arrival, an early check-in is often possible. This is possible in consultation with Portugalvillas.
I want to spend the winter, can I rent the villa for longer periods?
Portugalvillas also offers long stay accommodations. We advise you to submit a contact form for an inquiry or to request information.
