About Villa Cocheira l Luxurious stay within walking distance of the beach

Villa Cocheira is a distinctive and generously sized villa, located directly next to the historic castle of Ferragudo. Originally built as a coach house for the castle, this former cocheira has been completely renovated into a modern and comfortable beach house. Its location is remarkable: just a one-minute walk from Praia Grande beach, where you’ll find Club Nau, restaurant Praia Grande, and the charming Escodidinho. The centre of Ferragudo, with its selection of restaurants and shops, is only an eight-minute walk away.

The villa accommodates up to sixteen guests and offers eight double bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet. The spacious and light-filled living area features a large lounge sofa, a small bar, and a dining table that seats sixteen. A flat-screen TV and Sonos sound system are also available. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped and includes a large island, two refrigerators, a freezer, a wine cooler, dishwasher, and a large induction hob. From the entrance, a staircase leads to the mezzanine level, where a second TV corner overlooks the living room and kitchen. A guest toilet is located in the entrance hall.

Two large sliding doors in the living area open onto the expansive terrace, which features a large dining table, a cosy seating area, and a built-in barbecue. The lower-level garden is spacious, offering a swimming pool, several sun terraces, and a variety of fruit trees that provide natural shade. Villa Cocheira also includes a private parking area with space for four cars.

This villa is an ideal base for guests seeking comfort, space, and a unique location close to both the beach and the heart of Ferragudo.

Really enjoyed Villa Cocheira. A wonderfully spacious house with a nicely heated pool. In a great location, within walking distance of the beach and the charming square of Ferragudo. We will definitely come back!

Awesome!

Perfect house in a perfect setting a short walk from a fabulous beach and beach bars. Beautifully furnished with everything we needed as a family of 14. Lots of space which meant that we were never on top of one another. Our teenagers and small children loved the pool whilst the adults relaxed on sun beds and sofas in the peaceful garden area. The pictures don’t capture the ambience of the well proportioned interior which is spacious yet feels very cosy and comfortable. Our family didn’t want to leave and we would highly recommend this amazing house – we’re looking forward to returning next year!

We had the most wonderful stay at Villa Cocheira in June 2022. Our party was made up of 3 families and the villa provided plenty of space for us all. The villa is beautifully designed and well fitted out and equipped with everything we needed (e.g. coffee machine, washing machine, dish washer, lost of fridge space, lots of bathrooms!).

The outdoor space is fantastic with a brilliant dining area with a BBQ, that has gated access down to the pool area (ideal for keeping little toddlers out of danger). The pool itself is a great size and depth for families to use.

The villa is in a fantastic location, only minutes to walk to the beach (and Club Nau – a fantastic restaurant and bar on the beach). The town is also a very close walk away which has a few restaurants, cafes and shops. There is also a couple of kids playparks very close by which we used a lot with the children.

We had a great stay and only wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful villa in a special location, well laid out, spacious and fully equipped. Lovely swimming pool, ample parking with electrically operated sliding door. Service was fine. The location is conveniently close to the sea with beautiful walking routes along the coast. We had a great holiday and would love to come back again.

Rental conditions

Conditions
The rental price includes the use of air conditioning, water, electricity, WiFi and final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise).

Payment  
When booking, you will receive the rental contract, confirmation, and directions. The reservation is only confirmed after payment of 30% of the rental fee. The remaining balance, including the deposit, must be paid 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal.

Tourist Tax
For a maximum of seven nights, all guests aged 13 and older will be charged. The following rates apply:

  • Low season, November 1st to March 31st: €1.00 per person per night
  • High season, April 1st to October 31st: €2.00 per person per night

Deposit  
A deposit of 750 euros is required, to be paid before arrival. This will be refunded within 8 working days after departure if no damage has been caused by you. In the event of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, and any additional payment for damages incurred may be required.

Cancellation  
In the event of cancellation by the tenant(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:  
a. If canceled up to 6 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental fee.  
b. If canceled less than 6 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure 
You may check into the accommodation after 4 p.m. and must check out before 10 a.m. This is to allow for cleaning of the accommodation.

Liability  
Portugalvillas/landlord(s) do not accept any liability for the consequences of any accidents, incidents, or damages during your stay in Portugal, in or around the accommodation, caused by any circumstances.

Others
We advise you to take out proper travel and cancellation insurance.
