About Villa Cocheira l Large luxury beach villa

Villa Cocheira is located right next to the stately castle of Ferragudo. This impressive villa used to serve as a coach house (cocheira) for the castle and has now been transformed into a luxurious beach house. The famous beach of Ferragudo, the beach of Praia Grande with Club Nau, restaurant Praia Grande and the cozy Escodidinho is a one-minute walk away. And it is an eight minute walk to the lively center of Ferragudo. The villa has 8 double bedrooms, all of which have their own bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet. The spacious living room has a lovely lounge sofa, small bar and dining table for 16 people.

A flat screen TV and Sonos sound equipment are also provided. The walk-in kitchen is equipped with a large work island, 2 refrigerators, freezer, wine fridge, dishwasher and large hob (induction). The large loft with TV corner gives a beautiful view of the living room and kitchen. The spacious entrance has a staircase to the loft and here is also the guest toilet.

From the living room, two large sliding doors give access to the spacious terrace with large dining table, cozy seating area and barbecue. The large lower garden has a swimming pool, several sun terraces and a large number of fruit trees, which provide the necessary shade. The villa also has a private parking space for four passenger cars.

Awesome!

Perfect house in a perfect setting a short walk from a fabulous beach and beach bars. Beautifully furnished with everything we needed as a family of 14. Lots of space which meant that we were never on top of one another. Our teenagers and small children loved the pool whilst the adults relaxed on sun beds and sofas in the peaceful garden area. The pictures don’t capture the ambience of the well proportioned interior which is spacious yet feels very cosy and comfortable. Our family didn’t want to leave and we would highly recommend this amazing house – we’re looking forward to returning next year!

We had the most wonderful stay at Villa Cocheira in June 2022. Our party was made up of 3 families and the villa provided plenty of space for us all. The villa is beautifully designed and well fitted out and equipped with everything we needed (e.g. coffee machine, washing machine, dish washer, lost of fridge space, lots of bathrooms!).

The outdoor space is fantastic with a brilliant dining area with a BBQ, that has gated access down to the pool area (ideal for keeping little toddlers out of danger). The pool itself is a great size and depth for families to use.

The villa is in a fantastic location, only minutes to walk to the beach (and Club Nau – a fantastic restaurant and bar on the beach). The town is also a very close walk away which has a few restaurants, cafes and shops. There is also a couple of kids playparks very close by which we used a lot with the children.

We had a great stay and only wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful villa in a special location, well laid out, spacious and fully equipped. Lovely swimming pool, ample parking with electrically operated sliding door. Service was fine. The location is conveniently close to the sea with beautiful walking routes along the coast. We had a great holiday and would love to come back again.

Algarve - Ferragudo

Ferragudo is situated on the western bank of the Arade River, opposite the city of Portimão. The village is nestled between hills and offers great views of the coastline. Ferragudo is famous for its seafood restaurants, where you can enjoy delicious fresh seafood and local dishes. The village square, Praça Rainha Dona Leonor, is a popular gathering place for both locals and tourists, especially during the summer months.

In Ferragudo itself, you'll find small supermarkets and local shops for daily necessities. Additionally, larger supermarkets can be found in the nearby town of Portimão, approximately 2 kilometers away. The village boasts a diverse array of cozy restaurants and bars, especially in the vicinity of the village square.

For relaxation, you can retreat to Praia da Angrinha and Praia Grande. These beautiful beaches are within walking distance of Ferragudo and are ideal for swimming and relaxation. For a stunning panoramic view, head to Castelo de São João do Arade: a 17th-century castle located about 1 kilometer away. Besides the castle, there is also a church in the village center with fascinating architecture (Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Conceição). Nature enthusiasts can visit Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, a natural reserve with lagoons and islands located approximately 40 kilometers away, offering excellent opportunities for birdwatching and hiking.

Faro International Airport, situated approximately 70 kilometers to the east of Ferragudo, is the nearest airport.

Rental conditions

Conditions
The rental price includes the use of air conditioning, water, electricity, WiFi and final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise).

Payment
When booking, you will receive the rental contract, confirmation, and directions. The reservation is only confirmed after payment of 30% of the rental fee. The remaining balance, including the deposit, must be paid 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal.

Tourist Tax
All guests aged 13 or older will be charged a tourist tax for up to a maximum of seven nights. The following rates apply:
- Low season (November 1 to March 31): 1 euro per night per person
- High season (April 1 to October 31): 2 euros per night per person

Deposit
A deposit of 750 euros is required, to be paid before arrival. This will be refunded within 8 working days after departure if no damage has been caused by you. In the event of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, and any additional payment for damages incurred may be required.

Cancellation
In the event of cancellation by the tenant(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:
a. If canceled up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental fee.
b. If canceled less than 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure
You may check into the accommodation after 4 p.m. and must check out before 10 a.m. This is to allow for cleaning of the accommodation.

Liability
Portugalvillas/landlord(s) do not accept any liability for the consequences of any accidents, incidents, or damages during your stay in Portugal, in or around the accommodation, caused by any circumstances.

Other
We advise you to take out proper travel and cancellation insurance. Upon arrival, the host will be present for check-in.
