About Casa Elias l Authentic holiday home

Between the hills and the vast sea lies Casa Elias. This holiday home is located just outside Silves, the former historic capital of the region, offering rural tranquility and proximity to the coast. The house is the perfect place to relax, explore the surroundings, or experience the peaceful rhythm of Portuguese life.

The interior spaces of Casa Elias offer traditional charm combined with modern comfort. The house is suitable for four people +1 child. The ground floor living room is spacious and tastefully decorated, with the owner's personal touch clearly visible in the details. The kitchen invites you to work with local products, while the cozy double bedroom provides ample space to unwind. On the mezzanine, accessible via a staircase in the living room, there is additional sleeping space with both a double bed and two single beds. From both the living room and the bedroom, you step directly into the garden, where the view of the valley will surprise you again and again.

Casa Elias was lovingly designed by the owner, Rita, as a tribute to her grandfather. She has infused the house with warmth, tradition, and the timeless charm of Portuguese life.

Algarve - Silves

Silves is centrally located in the Algarve, approximately 16 kilometers inland from the coast. This convenient location makes it an excellent base for exploring both the inland and coastal areas of the region. Silves was once the capital of the Moorish province of Algarve and was known as "Xelb" during that time.

Within Silves itself, there are plenty of supermarkets and local shops to meet all your needs. In addition to supermarkets, Silves also offers various restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy delicious Portuguese cuisine.

For fascinating Moorish history, you can visit the medieval castle within the center of Silves. Silves Castle is one of the best-preserved castles in the Algarve and has a rich history dating back to the 8th century.

For more architecture, you can visit the "Cathedral of Silves" (Sé Catedral de Silves) within further walking distance. The Archaeological Museum (Museu Municipal de Arqueologia) offers more history and remains of Silves.

In addition to exploring the rich culture, you can, of course, unwind in natural areas such as Serra de Monchique and Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. Serra de Monchique is a beautiful mountainous area located about 30 kilometers from Silves and offers excellent hiking and biking opportunities. Parque Natural da Ria Formosa is a natural reserve with lagoons, islands, and various bird species, located approximately 70 kilometers from Silves.

The international airport of Faro, situated approximately 60 kilometers away, is the nearest airport to Silves.

Rental conditions

Terms and Conditions
The rental price includes the use of air conditioning, Wi-Fi, water, electricity and final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise).

Payment
A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance, along with the security deposit, must be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival in Portugal.
The reservation is only confirmed once the 30% rental deposit is received.

Security Deposit
When making the second payment of 70%, you will be asked to pay a security deposit of €300. This deposit will be refunded to your bank account within 7 days, provided no damage has been caused.
In case of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld. Additional payment for any damages incurred will also be required.

Cancellation
If the rental agreement is canceled by the tenant(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:
a. Cancellation up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental amount
b. Cancellation within 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure
You can check in to the accommodation after 4:00 PM. The accommodation must be vacated by 10:00 AM to allow for cleaning.

Portugalvillas / the property owner(s) accept no liability for any accidents or similar incidents during your stay in Portugal, particularly in and around the accommodation, caused by any circumstances.
We advise you to take out comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance.
By making your booking and subsequently paying the rental price, you agree to the above terms and conditions.
