About Casa Escondida l Charming holiday home

Casa Escondida is a holiday home for 2 - 4 people in the Algarve countryside in Portugal - near the lovely village of Boliqueime. It has a living room with an open kitchen, two bedrooms each with a bathroom en suite. The house has several sun terraces with lots of privacy and a private swimming pool with a view over the hills. All rooms have air conditioning for the warm or cool months and also a fireplace in the living room.

Boliqueime is a small village in the beautiful hinterland of the algarve, away from mass tourism, offers the opportunity to discover the real Portuguese life. The beautiful Praia da Falesia, our home beach, is only 15 minutes away. Many good restaurants are in the immediate vicinity.

Loulé with its daily fresh vegetable, fruit and fish market can be reached in about 10 minutes. There is also a farmers market on Saturday mornings, which still offers traditional craftsmanship.

Casa Escondida is a peaceful house in the peaceful Algarve countryside and just 15 minutes from the beach. It is located in a rural area between extensive hills full of almond, carob and olive trees and offers the opportunity to discover the authentic Portuguese life. The airport, many beautiful towns and beaches can be reached in just 15-30 minutes by car.

Our favorite beach on the Sandalgarve is "Praia do Barril"

Depending on the region, no beach is like the other. From Vila Real de San Antonio to Faro - the east coast is called Algarve. The beaches here are long and wide sandy beaches in a beautiful dune landscape. Here is also the park of the Ria Formosa; a huge lagoon with its islands (Cacelha Velho, Praia da Fabrica, Ilha de Tavira, Ilha Deserta, Ilha Armona, Ilha do Farol) and turquoise blue waters. The Ria Formosa starts in Tavira and ends in Faro.

Our favorite beaches on the west coast of the Algarve are "Praia da Falesia" or "Praia Sao Rafael"

The west coast of the Algarve stretches from Faro to Sagres, the most southwestern point of Europe. The west coast with its small bays, many caves and impressive rock formations is very varied and also beautiful. Here you can book a boat or kayak trip to see the diversity of the Algarve from the sea. Depending on the season, you can see whales and dolphins crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

Algarve - Boliqueime

The small town of Boliqueime, situated in the heart of the Algarve, is ideal if you want to explore various Portuguese villages and cities or visit one of the many beaches. In this village, you will find small cobbled streets, a white church, and charming restaurants and bars.

On the coast, you will discover picture-perfect beaches with impressive rock formations, caves, and cliffs. There are many lovely beaches and coves in the immediate vicinity, separated by rocks but connected by coastal paths.

There are beautiful places along the coast that are definitely worth a visit, such as Loulé (13 km), a historic town with cozy streets lined with boutique shops, delightful restaurants, and a massive market hall filled with fresh produce. Also, Olhão (37 km), a small fishing village, is definitely worth a visit.

Faro Airport is a 30-minute drive away. Within a 40-minute drive is the protected natural area of Ria Formosa, a 60-kilometer-long lagoon with a maze of islands, white beaches, and dunes featuring native plants and wildlife. Here, you can not only enjoy excellent hiking but also spot animals or go for a bike ride.

Additionally, there are spectacular beaches and coves where you can often enjoy the view all by yourself.

Rental conditions

Conditions
The rental price includes the use of water, electricity and the use of WiFi internet. (including the washing of bed linen, etc., maintenance of the swimming pool, and garden.) Including use of the heating / air conditioning.

Deposit
Payment deposit before arrival, with the 2nd deposit of 70% you are requested to pay the deposit of 300 euros. This will be returned on departure if no damage has been caused by you. In the event of damage, part or all of the damage may be withheld, and additional payment of any damage incurred is also required.

Payment
When booking you will receive the rental contract, confirmation and route description. The reservation is only final after payment of 30% of the rent. The remaining amount must be paid, including the above-mentioned deposit 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal.

Cancellation
In the event of cancellation of the rental agreement by the tenant(s), the following cancellation costs will be charged:
a. in case of cancellation up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 50% of the rent
b. in case of cancellation from 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and departure
You can move into the villa after 4 p.m. and must have left the villa before 10 a.m.; this is in connection with the cleaning of the villa.

Liability
Portugalvillas / landlord(s) do not accept any liability for the consequences of any accidents, etc. during your stay in Portugal, in and around Casa Escondida, caused by whatever circumstances.

Others
We advise you to take out proper travel and cancellation insurance. On arrival, the host/wife is present for reception.
