About Casa Escondida l Charming holiday home

Casa Escondida is a holiday home for 2 to 4 people located in the countryside of the Algarve, Portugal – near the charming village of Boliqueime. It features a living room with an open kitchen, two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The house offers several sun terraces with plenty of privacy and a private pool with views over the hills. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning for both the warm and cooler months. Additionally, there is a fireplace in the living room.

The property has a bright yet warm ambiance. The interior is beautifully designed with natural materials, such as the characteristic stone floors, beautiful wooden furniture, and rattan decorations. There are two bedrooms with very comfortable beds, both with their own bathroom. From the bedrooms and the cozy living room with the wood stove, you have access to the inviting terrace, with various lounge areas and a hammock – perfect for a well-deserved siesta. The open kitchen is fully equipped for preparing delicious meals. Set the table on the terrace and enjoy an extensive al fresco dinner with a view over the rugged nature of the Algarve.

Boliqueime is a small village in the beautiful countryside of the Algarve. Away from mass tourism, it offers the opportunity to experience authentic Portuguese life. The stunning Praia da Falesia, the local beach, is just 15 minutes away. There are also many excellent restaurants in the immediate area. Casa Escondida is a house set in the peaceful countryside of the Algarve, only 15 minutes from the beach. It is located in a rural setting, surrounded by vast hills dotted with almond, carob, and olive trees, offering the chance to discover true Portuguese life. The airport, along with many charming towns and beaches, can be reached by car in just 15-30 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful vacation villa with a stunning view. It's located in a secluded area, ensuring ultimate peace and tranquility. The large pool is regularly checked and cleaned. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are just as great. In short, a real recommendation!

Algarve - Boliqueime

The small town of Boliqueime, situated in the heart of the Algarve, is ideal if you want to explore various Portuguese villages and cities or visit one of the many beaches. In this village, you will find small cobbled streets, a white church, and charming restaurants and bars.

On the coast, you will discover picture-perfect beaches with impressive rock formations, caves, and cliffs. There are many lovely beaches and coves in the immediate vicinity, separated by rocks but connected by coastal paths.

There are beautiful places along the coast that are definitely worth a visit, such as Loulé (13 km), a historic town with cozy streets lined with boutique shops, delightful restaurants, and a massive market hall filled with fresh produce. Also, Olhão (37 km), a small fishing village, is definitely worth a visit.

Faro Airport is a 30-minute drive away. Within a 40-minute drive is the protected natural area of Ria Formosa, a 60-kilometer-long lagoon with a maze of islands, white beaches, and dunes featuring native plants and wildlife. Here, you can not only enjoy excellent hiking but also spot animals or go for a bike ride.

Additionally, there are spectacular beaches and coves where you can often enjoy the view all by yourself.

Rental conditions

Terms and Conditions
The rental price includes the use of water, electricity, and Wi-Fi internet (including washing of bed linen, pool maintenance, and garden care). It also includes the use of heating/air conditioning.

Security Deposit
A security deposit is required prior to arrival. With the second payment of 70%, you are requested to pay the security deposit of €300. This deposit will be refunded upon departure, provided no damage has been caused. In case of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, and additional payment may be required for any damages incurred.

Payment
Upon booking, you will receive the rental agreement, confirmation, and directions. The reservation is only confirmed after a 30% deposit of the rental fee is paid. The remaining balance, including the security deposit, must be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival in Portugal.

Cancellation
In the event of cancellation by the renter(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:
a. If canceled up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental fee.
b. If canceled less than 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure
You may check in to the villa after 4:00 PM and must check out by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. This is to allow for cleaning of the villa.

Liability
Portugalvillas/landlord(s) accept no liability for any accidents or incidents that may occur during your stay in Portugal, either inside or around Casa Escondida, regardless of the circumstances.

Other
We recommend purchasing comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance. The host will be present to welcome you upon arrival.
