About Casa Monchique l peace, nature and class

In this striking casa, completed in the spring of 2005, you reach the huge living room with fireplace through the central hall, followed by a large dining room and kitchen equipped with all modern appliances. On the ground floor there are also four bedrooms, each with a bathroom, two with bath and two with shower. On the first floor are three more bedrooms with private bathrooms, one with a bath and two with a shower. One of the bedrooms has a covered terrace. A second living room completes this floor and is equipped with a kitchenette, of course equipped with all modern appliances. This room features a large sun terrace.

The villa is enclosed by a beautifully landscaped and lush garden. Several terraces complete the oasis. There are plenty of opportunities to make the most of the sun, but the garden also has some shady and romantic seating areas. The uniquely designed swimming pool (10 x 5) with adjacent ponds is surrounded by a number of sunbeds. There is also an outdoor shower here.

The main terrace accommodates a large dining table and barbecue. Adjacent to the terraces is a pantry, equipped with a washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities. Depending on the season, you can pick your own citrus fruits from the trees and arrange your own bouquets to make it even more homely. The sounds of the environment allow you to completely relax and feel at one with nature.

The villa is particularly suitable for groups of two to fourteen people and often serves as a backdrop for family gatherings, wedding festivities, holidays for groups of friends with children, group holidays for golfers and even business meetings. Casa Monchique is equipped with two satellite TVs, DVD player and radio and CD player. Underfloor heating is optional; cots are available on request.

The casa is located on an estate at the foot of the Monchique Mountains, only fifteen kilometers from the south coast. The estate offers beautiful views and is ideal for beautiful walks through the beautiful nature.

Surprised on all fronts

In March we stayed in Caldas de Monchique with a group of twelve people. We were surprised on all fronts. The very hospitable house with the lovely bedrooms. The welcome, the view, the tranquility. Blessed to wake up to the sound of splashing water. Also wonderful to enjoy a breakfast with fresh bread rolls, and freshly squeezed orange juice from "own" land. Sit together in the cozy sitting area, you can retreat with a book under the lamp. Everything was delicious! ?And then the environment! Small towns with a rich history. The beautiful coast, with different scents and colors in every place and a rich view. We also enjoyed walking from all the greenery in the immediate vicinity to the beautifully restored Caldas de Monchique, over lovely winding paths with unexpected viewpoints. To enjoy!!! But nothing is as wonderful as the knowledge that after a blissful day you return to a hospitable home. Really, highly recommended!!!

Really a place to return to!

Due to a special milestone in the family, we settled in Casa Monchique Ribeira do Banho for a week with 10 people in mid-September. What a lovely place! Dream villas that you book via the internet are often disappointing in real life, because information and photos are more beautiful than in reality. But this villa is at least as beautiful and special as the website suggests. It was wonderfully quiet, the house has fantastic facilities and the swimming pool is of course an eye catcher in itself. The weather was also good, so we thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat there so wonderfully that we have not even made many trips in the area. Truly a place to return to!

Algarve - Monchique

Monchique is an ideal destination for hiking and outdoor activities, with beautiful hiking trails and views. Monchique is a village located in the western part of the Algarve, and it is surrounded by the lush and mountainous Monchique Mountains. The village itself is situated about 20 kilometers inland from the coast, making it an ideal place for those seeking peace and nature. Monchique is known for its handmade products, including ceramics and cork products.

Monchique offers local shops for daily necessities, and for more extensive shopping, you can go to Portimão, which is located about 20 kilometers away on the coast. The village has cozy dining establishments where you can enjoy traditional Portuguese dishes and local specialties. At the heart of the village is the charming church of Nossa Senhora do Desterro, a historical landmark well worth a visit. Just 4 kilometers away from the village, you can find the thermal springs of Monchique, known as the "sacred waters" as referred to by the Romans in the first century BC.

Faro International Airport, located approximately 110 kilometers away, is the nearest airport.

Rental conditions

Requirements
The rental price includes the use of WiFi, water and electricity (including the washing of bed linen, etc., maintenance of the swimming pool and garden). Not included is the use of central heating and wood for the fireplace.
The rental price is calculated on the indicated number of people. If visitors stay overnight during your stay, costs are involved. Please report this to the owner upon arrival or during your stay.

Payment
When booking, a deposit of 30% of the total amount is required. The remaining amount must be paid, including a deposit 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal.
The reservation is only final after a 30% deposit.

Deposit
If no damage has been caused by you, this will be returned to your bank account within 7 days, or in the event of damage, part or all of it may be withheld, or additional payment of any damage incurred will be required.

Cancellation
In the event of cancellation of the rental agreement by the tenant(s), the following cancellation costs will be charged:
a. in case of cancellation up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay:50% of the full invoice amount.
b. in case of cancellation from 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and departure
You can move into the villa after 4 p.m. and must have left the villa before 10 a.m.; this is in connection with the cleaning of the villa.

Liability
Portugalvillas / landlord(s) do not accept any liability for the consequences of any accidents, etc. during your stay in Portugal and in particular in and around Casa Monchique caused by whatever circumstances.
