About Lodge Lua l Luxury, nature & comfort

Lodge Lua is located halfway up a green hill on three hectares of private land. It is accessible via a driveway lined with olive trees, which is attractively illuminated in the evening. The site offers complete privacy.

Step inside Logde Lua, your own cocoon, surrounded by beautiful nature and the historic town of Silves.

When you wake up in the four-poster bed, you immediately feel the magic of this place. The private pool, beautiful under the radiant sun, invites you to refresh yourself in complete privacy.

The outdoor shower offers a quiet and relaxing moment, one with the environment. When you enter the lodge you will find comfort and luxury (air conditioning, a full kitchen and a bathroom).

In the outdoor kitchen, surrounded by nature, while the sun slowly sets, you prepare meals with fresh local ingredients from the market. Then you will dine with a beautiful view of the illuminated castle of Silves.

The lodge offers the tranquility of the country and yet it is within walking distance of the beautiful town of Silves. Silves is a picturesque historic village in the sun-drenched Algarve, Portugal. It offers a nice mix between culture, pleasant city life and ultimate tranquility. Due to its location, it is the ideal base to further explore the Algarve. Moreover, it is less than a fifteen-minute drive to the beaches. The location is also suitable for real walkers, because of the quiet hilly area, where you can walk for hours.

Fantastische vakantie!

We mochten verblijven in een prachtige lodge van Portugal Villas. Dit was een waar paradijsje tussen de Portugese heuvels. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de host en voelde ons al snel thuis op deze unieke locatie. De lodge was uiterst smaakvol ingericht en het ontbrak ons aan werkelijk niks. Een heerlijk groot hemelbed, een keuken met alle benodigdheden, fijne badkamer met toilet, maar voor het echte genieten moest je buiten zijn, want de lodge is echt gericht op het buitenleven.  's-Ochtends een douche nemen onder de buitendouche terwijl het zonnetje op je gezicht schijnt en je de krekels hoor tjirpen. 's-Middags genieten op een loungebedje en even afkoelen in het zwembad en 's-avonds lekker koken in de buitenkeuken en dat alles in absolute rust en stilte om je heen. Mocht je toch even geen zin hebben in koken of wat behoefte hebben aan gezelligheid, dan ben je zo in het centrum van Silves, waar een leuk aanbod van terrassen en restaurantjes is.  Dagje met de trein naar Lagos was ook zeer de moeite waard en erg genoten van een heerlijke stranddag in Carvoeiro.  De boottocht langs de kustlijn was erg mooi ! We zijn er uiteindelijk 5 dagen geweest, maar hadden ons er zeker nog wel langer vermaakt. Op naar een volgende keer!

Location & site
Algarve - Silves

Silves is centrally located in the Algarve, approximately 16 kilometers inland from the coast. This convenient location makes it an excellent base for exploring both the inland and coastal areas of the region. Silves was once the capital of the Moorish province of Algarve and was known as "Xelb" during that time.

Within Silves itself, there are plenty of supermarkets and local shops to meet all your needs. In addition to supermarkets, Silves also offers various restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy delicious Portuguese cuisine.

For fascinating Moorish history, you can visit the medieval castle within the center of Silves. Silves Castle is one of the best-preserved castles in the Algarve and has a rich history dating back to the 8th century.

For more architecture, you can visit the "Cathedral of Silves" (Sé Catedral de Silves) within further walking distance. The Archaeological Museum (Museu Municipal de Arqueologia) offers more history and remains of Silves.

In addition to exploring the rich culture, you can, of course, unwind in natural areas such as Serra de Monchique and Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. Serra de Monchique is a beautiful mountainous area located about 30 kilometers from Silves and offers excellent hiking and biking opportunities. Parque Natural da Ria Formosa is a natural reserve with lagoons, islands, and various bird species, located approximately 70 kilometers from Silves.

The international airport of Faro, situated approximately 60 kilometers away, is the nearest airport to Silves.

Rental conditions

Conditions
The rental price includes the use of WiFi, air conditioning, water and electricity (including washing bed linen, etc., maintenance of the swimming pool and garden).

Payment
A deposit of 30% is required upon booking. The remaining amount must be paid 8 weeks before arrival together with the deposit. The reservation is only final after a 30% deposit has been paid.

Deposit
Payment of deposit upon arrival, you are requested to pay the deposit of EUR 300. If no damage has been caused by you, this will be returned to your bank account within 7 days, or in the event of damage, part or all of it may be withheld, or additional payment for any damage may be required.

Cancellation
If the rental agreement is canceled by the tenant(s), the following cancellation costs will be charged: a. in case of cancellation up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 50% of the rental amount. b. in case of cancellation from 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and departure
You can move into the Lodge after 3:00 PM and must leave the villa before 11:00 AM; this is in connection with the cleaning of the Lodge.

Liability
Portugalvillas / landlord(s) accept no liability for the consequences of any accidents, etc. during your stay in Portugal and in particular in and around Lodge Lua caused by any circumstances whatsoever.

Other
We advise you to take out proper travel and cancellation insurance. By signing, booking and subsequent payment of the rental price, you agree to the above conditions.
