About Lodge Lua l Unique stay in nature with a plunge pool and plenty of privacy

Lodge Lua is located halfway up a green hill on three hectares of private land. It is accessible via a driveway lined with olive trees, which is attractively illuminated in the evening. The site offers complete privacy.

Step inside Logde Lua, your own cocoon, surrounded by beautiful nature and the historic town of Silves. When you wake up in the four-poster bed, you immediately feel the magic of this place. The private pool, beautiful under the radiant sun, invites you to refresh yourself in complete privacy. The outdoor shower offers a quiet and relaxing moment, one with the environment. When you enter the lodge you will find comfort and luxury (air conditioning, a full kitchen and a bathroom).
In the outdoor kitchen, surrounded by nature, while the sun slowly sets, you prepare meals with fresh local ingredients from the market. Then you will dine with a beautiful view of the illuminated castle of Silves.

The lodge offers the tranquility of the country and yet it is within walking distance of the beautiful town of Silves. Silves is a picturesque historic village in the sun-drenched Algarve, Portugal. It offers a nice mix between culture, pleasant city life and ultimate tranquility. Due to its location, it is the ideal base to further explore the Algarve. Moreover, it is less than a fifteen-minute drive to the beaches. The location is also suitable for real walkers, because of the quiet hilly area, where you can walk for hours.

Beautiful spot!

Beautiful spot, just outside Silves, on a hill with views of the castle. Plenty of privacy and all the necessary amenities. We will be back!

Fantastic vacation!

We had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful lodge from Portugal Villas. It was a true paradise nestled among the Portuguese hills. We were warmly welcomed by the host and quickly felt at home in this unique location. The lodge was tastefully decorated, and there was nothing we lacked. A lovely large canopy bed, a kitchen with all the essentials, a nice bathroom with a toilet—but the real enjoyment was outside, as the lodge is really designed for outdoor living. In the morning, you could take a shower under the outdoor shower while the sun warmed your face and you could hear the crickets chirping. In the afternoon, relax on a lounge bed and cool off in the pool, and in the evening, cook in the outdoor kitchen—all in absolute peace and quiet. If you ever feel like skipping cooking or need some company, you're just a short distance from the center of Silves, where there are plenty of terraces and restaurants. A day trip by train to Lagos was also very worthwhile, and we really enjoyed a lovely beach day in Carvoeiro. The boat tour along the coastline was stunning! We ended up staying for 5 days, but we definitely could have stayed longer. We look forward to the next time! PortugalVillas, thank you for this fantastic vacation!

Algarve - Silves

Silves is centrally located in the Algarve, approximately 16 kilometers inland from the coast. This convenient location makes it an excellent base for exploring both the inland and coastal areas of the region. Silves was once the capital of the Moorish province of Algarve and was known as "Xelb" during that time.

Within Silves itself, there are plenty of supermarkets and local shops to meet all your needs. In addition to supermarkets, Silves also offers various restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy delicious Portuguese cuisine.

For fascinating Moorish history, you can visit the medieval castle within the center of Silves. Silves Castle is one of the best-preserved castles in the Algarve and has a rich history dating back to the 8th century.

For more architecture, you can visit the "Cathedral of Silves" (Sé Catedral de Silves) within further walking distance. The Archaeological Museum (Museu Municipal de Arqueologia) offers more history and remains of Silves.

In addition to exploring the rich culture, you can, of course, unwind in natural areas such as Serra de Monchique and Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. Serra de Monchique is a beautiful mountainous area located about 30 kilometers from Silves and offers excellent hiking and biking opportunities. Parque Natural da Ria Formosa is a natural reserve with lagoons, islands, and various bird species, located approximately 70 kilometers from Silves.

The international airport of Faro, situated approximately 60 kilometers away, is the nearest airport to Silves.

Rental conditions

Conditions
The rental price includes the use of Wi-Fi, air conditioning, water and electricity, final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise) and maintenance of the swimming pool and garden.

Payment
A deposit of 30% is required upon booking. The remaining amount must be paid 8 weeks before arrival, along with the deposit. The reservation is only confirmed after the 30% deposit has been paid.

Deposit
A deposit of EUR 300 is required upon arrival. If no damage is caused, this will be refunded to your bank account within 7 days. In the event of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, or additional payment may be required for any damages incurred.

Cancellation
If the rental agreement is canceled by the tenant(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:
a. If canceled up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental fee.
b. If canceled less than 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure
You can check into the accommodation after 3:00 PM and must vacate the accommodation by 11:00 AM to allow for cleaning.

Liability
Portugalvillas / the landlord(s) accept no liability for any accidents during your stay in Portugal, particularly in and around the accommodation, regardless of the cause.

Other
We recommend that you take out comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance. By signing, booking, and making the subsequent payment of the rental price, you agree to the above conditions.
