About Quinta Avos | Authentic charm with breathtaking views

Quinta Avos is a former farmhouse transformed into a comfortable holiday villa, with the authentic details carefully preserved. The property offers a spacious layout across two floors, combining comfort and charm, making it an ideal place for a relaxing holiday in beautiful Portugal.

The interior of the Quinta is tastefully and practically furnished. There are four inviting bedrooms, each equipped with ceiling fans and a private bathroom, plus an additional guest toilet. The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals easy and enjoyable. The cozy living room features a flatscreen TV and a fireplace, perfect for relaxing together. Outside, there is a large covered terrace with comfortable wooden loungers, a generous garden with a swimming pool, and a barbecue, ideal for long summer evenings. Two of the bedrooms on the first floor also have a sunny terrace with breathtaking sea views.

The location of Quinta Avos combines tranquility, nature, and culture. The charming village of Cumeada is nearby, and the historic town of Silves is just a ten-minute drive away, offering atmospheric cafés, shops, and restaurants. In August, the town comes alive with the famous Medieval Festival. For a local market and lively atmosphere, Messines is only seven minutes away. The nearest beach, Armação de Pêra, is a twenty-minute drive and offers an expansive sandy beach with various beach bars. The picturesque beaches of Ferragudo, Carvoeiro, and Praia da Rocha are also easily accessible.

Recommended!

QUINTA AVOS IS PERFECT!
Nicely but privately situated with the main road at appr. 500 mtrs, and some sea view as an extra bonus present. It can easily accomodate 8 people, we were there with four, two kids and we as parents. Nothing to complain about, it was clean, well equipped and decorated, peaceful and relaxed. Plenty of room in the house itself, as well as garden and fenced driveway.
The pool was excellent, with enough sunbeds to chill, enjoy the sun and wheather. At a relative short distance, Silves is a nice town to go out for dinner. Beaches of Ferragudo and surrounding places are nearby for an experience other than laying beside the pool. Warm welcome by the local staff, with a some basic groceries (including wine and beers!) were there for our first hours of laziness. Recommended!

Equipped with all the facilities you can think of!

We had a wonderful week in Quinta Avos with our children and first grandchild. Especially the large terrace and the fact that each bedroom has its own bathroom make the house very pleasant to stay in. The renovation and furnishing of the house and garden has been done with a great sense of taste, so that you will soon feel at home. The view during breakfast and dinner is truly sublime! The location in the Algarve is such that you can reach all the beautiful places within an hour's drive. In our opinion, a must for anyone looking for a cosy, not too large family home, equipped with all the facilities you can think of!

Highly recommended for peace, beauty, facilities, views and privacy

For the second time we have been able to visit villa Quinta Avos. Last year we were already enthusiastic and this year 2015 we also enjoyed the exceptionally good weather, the hospitality and the welcome and accommodation. We have lacked for nothing. Everything was in good order and neat. Beautiful view from the veranda and the veranda offered delicious refreshment in between while eating and drinking. We have been able to enjoy the sun-heated swimming pool intensively and the garden was beautifully cared for. The privacy was absolutely great and the site is completely closed off. The owner surprised us with baskets of delicious Portuguese oranges and lemons. Where else can you find this?! It will certainly not be our last visit. Highly recommended for peace, beauty, facilities, views and privacy.

Cumeada in the Algarve is a quiet village nestled among green hills and open countryside. It’s the perfect place for those who enjoy nature, tranquility, and a slower pace of life, while still being close enough to explore the coast and cultural highlights of the region.

Nearest Beaches
Even though Cumeada lies inland, the beaches of the Algarve are easily reachable by car. Praia da Galé and Armação de Pêra are two nearby options where golden sand and clear waters invite you to relax or take a swim. After a calm morning in the hills, an afternoon at the beach brings the best of both worlds.

Authentic Villages and Towns
Surrounding Cumeada are several authentic villages that reflect the real Algarve. São Bartolomeu de Messines is nearby and has a traditional market and a local feel. Silves, with its rich history and red-stone castle, adds a touch of culture and charm to any day trip from the village.

Rental conditions

Rental Conditions
The rental price includes the use of WiFi, water, electricity, final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise) and laundry, pool, and garden maintenance. Heating is not included.

Payment
A deposit of 30% of the total amount is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance, including the security deposit, must be paid 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal. The reservation is only confirmed after the 30% deposit has been paid.

Security Deposit
The security deposit must be paid before arrival, along with the second 30% deposit. You will be asked to pay a deposit of €300. This will be refunded to your bank account after 7 days, provided no damage was caused. In the case of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, or additional payment may be required for the damage.

Cancellation
In case of cancellation by the renter(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:
a. Cancellation up to 6 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental amount.
b. Cancellation within 6 weeks of the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure
You may check into the accommodation after 4:00 PM and must vacate the accommodation by 10:00 AM due to cleaning. If you arrive after 9:00 PM, a fee of €50 will be charged, payable to the host.

Liability
Portugalvillas / the landlord(s) accept no liability for any accidents or incidents during your stay in Portugal, especially in or around the accommodation, regardless of the cause.

Others
We advise you to take out proper travel and cancellation insurance.
