About Quinta Barbara Bela Luisa l Perfect family home with Portuguese elements and a large garden

This luxurious and recently very attractively renovated quinta, equipped with Wi-Fi and air conditioning, is located on a spacious plot of no less than 14 hectares in the village of Gorjoes, in a rural area near the historic city of Loulé and the attractive towns of Santa Barbara de Nexe and Sao Bras de Alportel. In addition to the four-bedroom main house for 8 people, Quinta Barbara consists of a guesthouse for four people and a cottage for two adults and two children.

The large child-friendly garden, richly planted with olive, almond and fruit trees, has several terraces, an old well, football field, table tennis table, jeu-de-boules court and a spacious swimming pool (10 x 5 m.) with paddling pool and sunbeds. Directly adjacent to the luxurious and generously sized kitchen is a covered terrace where large groups can enjoy a delicious meal. Here we also find the beautifully tiled fixed barbecue area. The very tastefully decorated quinta has been renovated while retaining countless authentic Portuguese elements and is equipped with all modern comforts. The spacious kitchen has an original Portuguese tile floor, but also a large Smeg stove, Quooker, dishwasher and espresso machine. A wood-burning stove and washer-dryer. Next to the kitchen is an extra shower room with toilet that can also be reached from the pool. The comfortable living room is equipped with a large sofa and various armchairs, a flat screen and a beautiful wood stove.

Enjoy the authentic Algarve life, space, tranquility and yet very close to the beach!!

The main house has four air-conditioned bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom. The other three bedrooms share a bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet and bidet. The Cottage has a large bedroom, a smaller and adjoining living bedroom and a bathroom, making it suitable for two adults and two children. The guesthouse has two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and an outdoor kitchen with barbecue. In total Quinta Barbara can accommodate fourteen adults and two babies. For smaller groups it is also possible to rent only the main house, possibly in combination with only the guesthouse or cottage. In the winter months (November to March) only the main house is rented.The house is cleaned once a week and provided with new linen and towels.

Shopping can be done in the supermarket in the nearest village of Santa Barbara de Nexe (5 km) or Soa Bras de Alportel. Here we also find some typical Portuguese restaurants. The city of Loulé, also known for its beautiful covered fresh market, is 8 kilometers from the quinta. A day at the beach requires a drive of about 15 minutes.

Lovely

Such a special place!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Quinta Bela Vida with our extended family. The villa was even more beautiful and spacious than the photos showed. The area was quiet and peaceful and we felt like we had our own private resort in the heart of a Portuguese Village! We had Chef Oliver prepare us a meal on our first night and it was incredible! Such a special place !

Our group, ranging from 3 to 80 years old, unanimously decided after just one day—this is the best vacation ever! Quinta Barbara Bela Luisa radiates tranquility, style, and homeliness. It truly has everything, and we felt at home right away. There’s more than enough space to gather as a large family, but also plenty of quiet corners and seating areas to retreat to. Despite the heat, the house stayed pleasantly cool inside, and outside, there was always a choice between sun and shade. The location of the house and its proximity to amenities is perfect. We had an unforgettable week and will definitely return!

The house is beautiful, and the garden is delightful! We can absolutely recommend this lovely place. We had the pool heated, which was still necessary in May, and we enjoyed it every day! Everything was tastefully decorated, and nothing was missing – the house was fully equipped. The kids had plenty of space around the house to play. It was a wonderful week!

Super super great!

We spent a week at Quinta Barbara Bela Luis with 7 adults and 4 kids. The villa is stunning and very clean, with a huge garden surrounding it. Football, table tennis, pétanque, and a heated pool… we had such a great time. Everything you need is available in the villa. Claudia, who is very thoughtful, made sure we had everything arranged to make our stay as pleasant as possible. With an early flight, you can drop off your luggage, and since we had a late return flight, we were able to stay longer in the villa as no new guests were arriving immediately after us—really great! A trustworthy and reliable organization that provides real value for your money! It was truly amazing, and we would definitely return.

What an experience and definitely recommended!

Been to this beautiful house with the whole family! What a great house to be with a group. 2 separate houses so everyone has some privacy. A lovely large kitchen where everything can be found. The children also enjoyed playing in the 2 'attics', which was their own space for them. The pool was also lovely, nice that it was on the terrace so we could keep a close eye on the children! We also had Roberto cook for us one evening, what an experience and definitely recommended!

Gorjões is located in the beautiful countryside of the Algarve. The city of Faro is approximately 20 kilometers away, giving Gorjões a convenient location for access to amenities and the airport. The village retains its traditional charm with whitewashed houses and a relaxed lifestyle. Gorjões celebrates local festivals and events, bringing the community together to celebrate traditions and enjoy Portuguese culture.

Gorjões provides local shops for daily necessities, but for more extensive shopping, you can go to Faro, which is about 20 kilometers away. The village offers cozy eateries where you can savor traditional Portuguese dishes and local specialties. In the heart of the village, you will find the historic church, Igreja de Gorjões.

Gorjões has a favorable location with respect to historical cities such as Faro, Loulé, and Tavira, all of which are a short drive away and well worth exploring for their rich history and cultural heritage. The mountainous natural park Serra do Caldeirão, in the vicinity of Gorjões, is a paradise for hikers and nature enthusiasts, with beautiful hiking trails and breathtaking views showcasing the region's beauty. Approximately 25 kilometers away is the Ria Formosa Natural Park, a protected coastal nature reserve known for its abundant biodiversity.

Rental conditions

Rental Conditions
The rental price includes the use of water, air conditioning, WiFi, electricity, final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise) and maintenance of the pool and garden. The use of wood for the fireplace is not included. The rental price is based on the indicated number of guests. If visitors stay overnight during your stay, additional charges will apply. Please inform the host upon arrival or during your stay.

Deposit
If no damage has been caused by you, the deposit will be refunded to your bank account within 7 days. In the event of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, and additional payment may be required for any damage incurred.

Payment 
When booking, you will receive the rental contract, confirmation, and route description. The reservation is only confirmed after a 30% deposit of the rental fee is paid. The remaining amount, including the deposit, must be paid 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal.

Cancellation 
In the event of cancellation by the tenant(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:  
a. If canceled up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental fee.  
b. If canceled less than 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure 
You may check into the accommodation after 4 p.m. and must check out before 10 a.m. This is to allow for cleaning of the accommodation.

Liability 
Portugalvillas/landlord(s) do not accept any liability for the consequences of any accidents, incidents, or damages during your stay in Portugal, in or around the accommodation, caused by any circumstances.
