About Quinta Monte Boi Terracotta l Authentic and rustic style with stunning views

Quinta Monte Boi Terracotta is located in Monte Boi between Silves and S.B. the Messines. You will feel like you have gone back in time, away from the busy tourist coast, while the coastline is only 15 kilometers away. Here the Algarve is as it was centuries ago, with the classic white-painted villages, the cozy cafes, restaurants and the relaxing view of the hills and the sea.

This old charming farmhouse has been renovated over the years with a lot of care and love and is the perfect place in the Algarve to completely unwind for a relaxing holiday. After a good day of sun you can enjoy a drink and a snack under the veranda or lounge in the comfortable living room.

The living room is tastefully decorated, has a large smart TV (Canal digital) and a very good quality sound system. Both can be operated via WIFI and Bluetooth. You can easily stream Spotify, Netflix and Juke or share your mobile screen via Smart View.

The luxurious kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, combination oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, sandwich maker, kettle, luxury orange juicer, coffee maker, milk frother, mixer and much more. An extra refrigerator with large freezer is available. Excellent quality glassware, crockery and cutlery.

Enjoy the outdoors, play on the grass, read a book in the hammock, lounge in the shade under the veranda or in the sun around the pool. It's all possible at Quinta Monte Boi. Every meal is spent sitting around the table together, the outdoors here feels like... Paradise!

A lovely large swimming pool with fantastic views. There are 6 sun beds and an outdoor shower. Relax with a book, your favorite music and a drink. You can pick oranges from the trees and don't forget the roof terrace with an even more beautiful view over the valley and the sea.

Monte Boi Terracotta is a small atmospheric region near the city of São Bartolomeu de Messines. Messines is a few minutes drive away and has a market, supermarkets, bank, various shops, pharmacy, post office, restaurants and bars.

The beautiful castle town of Silves, a fifteen-minute drive from the Quinta, is also worth a visit. Silves is one of the most beautiful towns in the Algarve. It has remains of a castle, a beautiful cathedral and many small streets.

The beach is about a 25-minute drive: such as the beautiful beaches west of Albufeira: Praia Sao Rafael, Castelo or Lourenço or the beach of Galé or Armaçao de Pera.

What a fantastic stay!! We had the pleasure of spending a week at this beautiful villa with our two kids (12 and 14). Everything was clean, perfectly built, modern, and equipped with all the comforts. The communication with Joke and Bart was very personal and excellent. We would have loved to stay longer.

Last week, we had the pleasure of staying in this fantastic villa with our three children (9, 10, and 15 years old)! A place we will never forget, I’ve truly fallen in love with it. A beautiful house, and it really has everything you could possibly need! The location is magnificent, with an amazing view. Plus, you're only a 5-minute drive from supermarkets and at least 15 minutes to charming villages. In short: you can seek out the hustle and bustle if you want, but you can also retreat and enjoy the peace and everything this house has to offer. The owner, Joke, was always available if needed, and hostess Nina welcomed us wonderfully. We truly recommend this beautiful spot to everyone!

Our first experience in Portugal as a family of six. A beautifully renovated farmhouse, tastefully decorated. Three spacious rooms with comfortable beds and two new bathrooms. The house is fully equipped with all comforts—don’t miss the fresh oranges, and throw a delicious fish on the top grill in your own garden! Our four kids mostly cooled off in the wonderful pool, while we enjoyed a nice glass of wine on one of the sunbeds, the hammock, or in the lounge. A big thank you to Nina for the warm welcome and to Joke for always being available! In short: the perfect base to explore the Algarve region!

We spent one week in this amazing villa with our two sons, aged 16 and 17. What a wonderful place! The interior and exterior are beautifully decorated. The house is equipped with every comfort you could need. Whenever we had a question, Joke and Bart responded very quickly. All in all, highly recommended for a holiday!

Recommended!

A beautiful home with a great view! The house is fully equipped. With the 'danger' that you see too little of the environment. We were just as sweet at the house :-). A nice base for everything to see in the area. Actually, most of it is within a 30-minute drive from the house. In short: highly recommended!

We would love to come back

Last summer we stayed for two weeks in this beautiful villa. It is a modern villa, in which you are fully equipped. The rooms are spacious with good beds and the two bathrooms have good facilities such as a toilet and a well-functioning shower. The location of the villa is beautiful with views towards the coast. The coast itself is a half hour drive, which we didn't mind. The homeowners are very friendly and rightly careful with their property. I definitely recommend this villa and we would love to come back.

A warm welcome and a pleasant stay

We had a great time at Joke and Bart's house in Monte Boi. What a fantastic location with a super nice view. The house is fully equipped, you will lack nothing and you can use everything. The pool was a favorite with our kids! The location is very accessible and close to several other places worth visiting. A wonderful place

A beautifully converted Portuguese farmhouse that has been renovated with great care. In everything you see the attention and love of the residents. A wonderful place to completely relax. From the pool, the terrace everywhere you have a fantastic view. A warm welcome on arrival. Thank you Bart and Joke for your hospitality, we will definitely be back.

Algarve - Monte Boi

Monte Boi is located in the southeastern part of the Algarve, approximately 8 kilometers north of the town of Vila Real de Santo António. It is surrounded by an enchanting landscape of hills and forests, offering a peaceful escape from the coastal hustle and bustle. Monte Boi is known for its traditional architecture and authentic Portuguese charm, with whitewashed houses and narrow streets. This area also provides excellent opportunities for stargazing due to limited light pollution.

For groceries and supplies, you can visit Vila Real de Santo António, approximately 8 kilometers away. Although Monte Boi itself is small, you will find delightful dining options in neighboring towns, including Vila Real de Santo António.

Visit the beautiful beaches of Praia de Monte Gordo and Fort of São Sebastião. About 8 kilometers away, Fort of São Sebastião is a historic landmark overlooking the Guadiana River. Praia de Monte Gordo is a stunning beach on the Atlantic coast, located about 10 kilometers away. Nature and bird enthusiasts can explore Parque Natural da Ria Formosa: this beautiful natural reserve with lagoons and islands is approximately 20 kilometers away and offers excellent opportunities for bird watching and hiking.

The nearest airport is the international airport of Faro, approximately 70 kilometers west of Monte Boi.

Rental conditions

Conditions
The rental price includes the use of WiFi, air conditioning, water and electricity (including washing bed linen, etc., maintenance of the swimming pool and garden). The rental price is calculated on the indicated number of people. If visitors stay overnight during your stay, costs will apply. Please report this to the owner upon arrival or during your stay.

Payment
A deposit of 30% is required upon booking. The remaining amount must be paid together with the deposit 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal. The reservation is only final after a 30% deposit has been paid
Payment of deposit upon arrival, you are requested to pay the deposit of EUR 300. If no damage has been caused by you, this will be returned to your bank account within 7 days, or in the event of damage, part or all of it may be withheld, or additional payment for any damage may be required.

Cancellation
If the rental agreement is canceled by the tenant(s), the following cancellation costs will be charged:
a. in case of cancellation up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental amount;
b. in case of cancellation from 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and departure
You can enter the villa after 4:00 PM and must leave the villa before 10:00 AM; this is in connection with the cleaning of the villa.

Liability
Portugalvillas / landlord(s) accept no liability for the consequences of any accidents, etc. during your stay in Portugal and in particular in and around the accommodation caused by any circumstances whatsoever.

We advise you to take out proper travel and cancellation insurance. By signing, booking and subsequent payment of the rental price, you agree to the above conditions.
