About Casa do Largo l Contemporary city villa with a large rooftop terrace

This unique city villa is located in a quiet part of the pleasant center of the white town of Silves, the Moorish capital of Portugal in a gray past. Here you will find numerous cozy squares with shops, bars and restaurants, but also a beautiful Moorish church, the remains of a beautifully restored castle and a covered market hall with a wide range of typical Portuguese delicacies. The most beautiful beaches of the Algarve are also located at a maximum of fifteen kilometers from the villa.
The spacious, very bright villa adjacent to a beautiful city garden has three bedrooms, each with a private bathroom with rain shower, toilet and air conditioning (cooling and heating).

The beds are 1.80 m by 2.10 m, especially for the longer holidaymaker. The whole house has underfloor heating, so it is also a great place to stay in winter. The villa also has free Wi-Fi and several LED TVs with built-in DVD players. Of course there is a fully equipped modern kitchen, beautiful living room and a patio accessible through patio doors. The spacious roof terrace with seating, sunbeds and dining table is also equipped with a six-person Jacuzzi.
This hidden gem has a very special interior that is characterized by a mix of 'vintage' and contemporary. The owners of town hall Largo bought almost all the furniture at auctions in the Netherlands and gave it their own metormafosis so that each piece of furniture has become a special item.

This unique city villa is suitable for groups of up to six people, while families with children from the age of 10 will also feel completely at home here, living among the Portuguese. Town house Largo is also an ideal base for golfers: there are several leading 18-hole courses in the immediate vicinity.

Casa do Largo is a spacious and attractively furnished apartment in the heart of Silves. We enjoyed the early spring sun and the storks on the large roof terrace. The centrally located kitchen is fully equipped and the adjacent patio makes it very attractive and light. Welcoming reception by the owner, flexible and fast communication. Perfect stay for our work/vacation!

Casa do Largo is a comfortable city villa, centrally located in the charming town of Silves. The tastefully decorated house features a large living/dining kitchen with all amenities, a separate living room, and 3 spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. A staircase from the cozy patio leads to the large sunny rooftop terrace with a dining table, sunbeds, lounge sofas, umbrellas, and a jacuzzi! It’s a stunning house in a beautiful, atmospheric location where we had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We love Portugal and casa do Largo. We have now booked a holiday in this house four times and every time we find it a pleasure to be here. The house is complete, and has a lovely roof terrace where you can admire the many storks. Peter is a real host, always a warm welcome and everything nearby. It's nice to stay among the locals. Hopefully see you soon….

Very tastefully decorated

We a family with 2 children (14 and 16) had a great week in Caso do Largo. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and equipped with every luxury, ... all with a private bathroom, toilet and double bed. Really compliments for the decor and high level of finish of the cottage. You can easily walk into the village where there are delicious eateries and the beautiful beaches are a short drive away. The kitchen is well equipped so you can also cook yourself :-) The roof terrace was also very pleasant, even in December, windless and a sun ... Highly recommended so... there is a good chance that we will come back ourselves.

A place to go back to

The four of us had a very nice stay in the city villa. Nice location in the town. Comfortable house with a nice kitchen diner. The kitchen is fully equipped, especially if you prepare a good meal yourself want to make. Good showers and good beds. The luxury of underfloor heating and a jacuzzi on the roof terrace also makes a stay in the somewhat cool February pleasant. The atmosphere of the house and the level of decoration / finish makes it picture complete. A place to go back to. See you next time....

Algarve - Silves

Silves is centrally located in the Algarve, approximately 16 kilometers inland from the coast. This convenient location makes it an excellent base for exploring both the inland and coastal areas of the region. Silves was once the capital of the Moorish province of Algarve and was known as "Xelb" during that time.

Within Silves itself, there are plenty of supermarkets and local shops to meet all your needs. In addition to supermarkets, Silves also offers various restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy delicious Portuguese cuisine.

For fascinating Moorish history, you can visit the medieval castle within the center of Silves. Silves Castle is one of the best-preserved castles in the Algarve and has a rich history dating back to the 8th century.

For more architecture, you can visit the "Cathedral of Silves" (Sé Catedral de Silves) within further walking distance. The Archaeological Museum (Museu Municipal de Arqueologia) offers more history and remains of Silves.

In addition to exploring the rich culture, you can, of course, unwind in natural areas such as Serra de Monchique and Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. Serra de Monchique is a beautiful mountainous area located about 30 kilometers from Silves and offers excellent hiking and biking opportunities. Parque Natural da Ria Formosa is a natural reserve with lagoons, islands, and various bird species, located approximately 70 kilometers from Silves.

The international airport of Faro, situated approximately 60 kilometers away, is the nearest airport to Silves.

Rental conditions

Requirements
The rental price includes the use of Wi-Fi, water, electricity and the final cleaning (unless agreed otherwise). Heating and air conditioning are not included.  
The rental price is calculated based on the indicated number of people. If visitors stay overnight during your stay, additional costs will apply. Please inform the owner upon arrival or during your stay.

Payment 
A deposit of 30% is required when booking. The remaining amount must be paid along with the deposit, 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal.  
The reservation is only final after the 30% deposit has been paid.

Deposit 
A payment deposit is required before arrival. With the second deposit of 70%, you are asked to pay a security deposit of 300 euros.  
If no damage has been caused, the deposit will be refunded to your bank account within 7 days. In the event of damage, part or all of the deposit may be withheld, or additional payment for any incurred damages may be required.

Cancellation
In case of cancellation of the rental agreement by the tenant(s), the following cancellation fees will apply:  
a. Cancellation up to 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: 30% of the rental price.  
b. Cancellation within 8 weeks before the first day of the booked stay: the full invoice amount.

Arrival and Departure
You can check into the accommodation after 4 p.m. and must check out before 10 a.m. due to cleaning requirements.

Liability
Portugalvillas / landlord(s) do not accept any liability for the consequences of accidents or incidents during your stay in Portugal, particularly in and around the accommodation, regardless of the cause.

Others
We advise you to take out appropriate travel and cancellation insurance. By signing, booking, and making the subsequent payment of the rental price, you agree to the terms and conditions above.
